Goshen Wind Energy Centre
102 Megawatts of clean energy in Huron County, Ontario.
Development on the Goshen Wind Energy Centre began in 2006 by Canadian Green Power. In 2007, NextEra and Canadian Green Power began working together. This wind energy project has a maximum generating capacity of up to 102-megawatts. The wind farm is located in Huron County, with infrastructure in both South Huron and Bluewater Townships. At the maximum generating capacity, the Goshen Wind Energy Centre will produce enough energy for approximately 25,500 homes in Ontario. This project has been awarded a Feed-in-Tariff contract by the Ontario Power Authority and has received the approval from the Ministry of the Environment on its Renewable Energy Approval application. The project is now operational.
