Bornish Wind Energy Centre
73.5 Megawatts of clean energy in Middlesex County, Ontario.
Development on the Bornish Wind Energy Centre began in 2007. The wind farm is located in Middlesex County, with electrical interconnection extending into North Middlesex. This wind energy project has a maximum generating capacity of up to 73.5-megawatts. At the maximum generating capacity, the Bornish Wind Energy Centre produces enough energy for approximately 18,375 average homes in Ontario. This project has been awarded a Feed-in-Tariff contract by the Ontario Power Authority and has received the approval from the Ministry of the Environment on its Renewable Energy Application. This project is now operational.
