Adelaide Wind Energy Centre
60 Megawatts of clean energy in Middlesex County, Ontario.
Development on the Adelaide Wind Energy Centre was started by a subsidiary of TCI Renewables, Inc., Air Energy, TCI (AET) in 2008. In late 2009, NextEra Energy Canada purchased all rights to the projects, however, AET obtained the required permits and consents. This wind energy project has a maximum generating capacity of up to 60 megawatts. The wind farm is located in Middlesex County, with electrical interconnection extending into North Middlesex. At the maximum generating capacity, the Adelaide Wind Energy Centre produces enough energy for approximately 15,000 average homes in Ontario. This project has been awarded a Feed-in-Tariff contract by the Ontario Power Authority and has received the approval from the Ministry of the Environment on its Renewable Energy Approval application. This project is currently operational.

Notice of Application for Electricity Generation License
Kerwood Wind, Inc. has applied to the Ontario Energy Board for leave to construct transmission facilities that will enable the Adelaide Wind Energy Centre to connect to the Ontario power system. Copies of the Notice of Application and Hearing, as well as the Application for Leave to Construct can be found below. Note that the decision below applies to both Kerwood Inc.'s application and the co-owner's applications described below.
Kerwood Wind, Inc. is also a co-owner of proposed shared transmission facilities that are the subject of a current application before the Ontario Energy Board. The hearing process concluded on October 18, 2013 and the decision of the Ontario Energy Board was issued on November 12, 2013.
