Northpoint I Wind Energy Centre

As proposed, the Northpoint I Wind Energy Centre (Project) is an on-shore wind energy project estimated to generate up to 150-megawatts of clean, renewable energy. The Project is proposed to be located in the Township of North Frontenac, in Ontario, Canada. The Project will be developed, constructed and owned by the Northpoint I Wind, LP, an affiliate of NextEra Canada Development & Acquisitions, Inc., and a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Canada, LP. At the maximum generating capacity, the Northpoint I Wind Energy Centre will produce enough energy for approximately 37,500 homes. This project is being developed for the Large Renewable Energy procurement process initiated by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).
